Fury of Achilles, The

Fury of Achilles, The (1962, Gordon Mitchell)

Based on Homer’s The Illiad, this historically-based sword & sandal epic tells the story of Achilles, the son of Gods, who has to endure the pain of being mortal, yet invulnerable.
It's the traditional Greeks vs. Trojans story, with Achilles avoiding extermination due to his seeming invulnerability. After a number of triumphs (many of them drawn from other Greek legends), Achilles is vanquished, due to his fabled heel.
